SkyTools Interactive Atlas is like a fine atlas on your
computer. This tool by itself encompasses the
functionality of most competing software. The innovative
and highly customizable photorealistic display (shown
above) is unique to SkyTools. In addition to
breathtakingly realistic star fields this display works
extremely well in the field. Two other, more traditional
display modes are also available. The appearance of the
atlas is customizable to an unprecedented degree. Images
can be displayed in the chart background, including those
automatically downloaded from the Digital Sky Survey.
Below a color image of the planetary nebula Abell 39 blends
seamlessly into the SkyTools display.
