Download SkyTools Version 1.7a Update Disk 3 (st17a_3.zip, 0.2MB)

Installation Instructions
(1) Copy each of the downoaded files to a separate diskette.

(2) Copy all three files from the diskettes to the a temporary folder on the machine where SkyTools is installed. Do not place these files in your SkyTools folder.

(3) Use a program such as pkzip to extract the files from each of the three zip files.

(4) Make certain that neither SkyTools nor the SkyTools Supplemental Database Editor is running.

(5) Start the update installation program (setup.exe) by double clicking on it, perhaps using Windows Explorer. Follow the on-screen instructions.

(6) Make sure that the install program places the files into the correct SkyTools folder. If you installed SkyTools in a folder other than the default, press the Browse button and select the correct path to the SkyTools folder.

(7) The installation program will install a program called updater.exe which will update your files to be compatible with version 1.7.a  This program will be automatically started when you start SkyTools or the Supplemental Database Editor.  It should report a successful update.  It is normal for the update to report "could not update log files" if there are no log entries.

(8) Verify the installation. The program will run as before, except the intro screen will display version 1.7a. You can also view the version by clicking on the galaxy background at the top of the planning window.

(3) A few minor cosmetic problems related to using SkyTools under Windows XP have been fixed.

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to report bugs and make suggestions!
