finest open clusters, particularly for smaller telescopes (< 10 inches).
Sometimes overshadowed by it's neighbors M36 and M38, this cluster is
not to be overlooked.
There are some 150 stars down to magnitude 12.5 within a 23' circle. This cluster of stars formed together around 200 million years ago and lies at a distance of 4400 light years.
